Piano lessons: As my student, you will benefit from accelerated method, based on classical traditions of famous Russian school of piano playing.In addition to studying classical repertoire, theory, and sight-reading, you will also learn improvisation, ear -training and play different styles of music that interests you, such as pop and jazz. OLGA SHILAEVA holds Master's Degree both in Piano and Flute performance from National Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Kiev Ukraine.
Pianist: Brought up with the traditions of the Russian School of Piano Playing. More the 20 years of teaching and performing. Currently works as pianist for the Church of Christ the Scientist, Boulder, Colorado, and is on-demand as a collaborative pianist in the area.
Flutist: member of the Boulder and Greeley philharmonic orchestra, flute/piccolo player with Pro Musica Colorado Chamber Orchestra, Opera Colorado and Colorado Ballet and a former member of National Symphony orchestra of Ukraine,
recorded Flute Quintet by Walter Piston for Naxos label.
Music Educator: Professional Teacher License in Music K-12, Certification in Orff level 1 and 2, and Kodaly level 1 methodology,10 years of experience teaching general music in a classroom.

Have been taking online piano lessons for five months now. This was our first experience with online class and we were pleasantly surprised at the improvement in our daughter. She genuinely enjoys her lessons and we can see the benefits. Olga is very professional and patient.

I look forward to my lessons with Olga every week. I’m an adult beginner taking lessons with her for the last four months. She's very knowledgeable. She has a very direct teaching style that’s perfect for me. She tells me what to play and how to make it better with no messing around. She’s encouraging and friendly but doesn’t waste time. I like her selection of course materials. The pieces are interesting and fun to play. Lessons are challenging but I’m learning a lot. I couldn’t ask for a better teacher.

I have been meeting with Olga for about 5 months now and half of those meetings have been over zoom calls. While I was skeptical at first, I quickly realized that getting zoom lessons are basically the exact same as in person. Olga can hear and see every little thing I do and is able to teach me in an effective manner. I have recently moved away from the Boulder area but because my lessons are on zoom I am able to continue meeting with Olga which has been a huge blessing. If you are having reservations about getting music lessons online, let me put your mind at ease by saying that Olga is a fantastic teacher and the technology being used in not a barrier whatsoever. I look forward to continue meeting with Olga for an indefinite time now that we have locked it in on zoom. And the best part about it is, I never have to leave the comfort of my own home saving on time and making it all the more convenient.

Our older daughter age 12 has been taking lessons with Ms. Olga Shilaeva for two years and our younger daughter age 10 started last September. Both girls and us could not be happier with the approach, quality and dedication to teaching and high professional standards she maintains. We have seen lots of improvement in technique, skills and playing. Ms. Olga has a great understanding of children's music ability and needs and has a good rapport with her students. She makes sure that all students have the opportunity to show their skills through recitals she organizes. During the COVID-19 lockdown Ms. Olga transitioned very quickly to an online platform of teaching using the latest technology.We have noticed continuous improvement in our daughters' progress even during these difficult times.

Olga is an amazing teacher! Im in my fourth year of taking flute lessons from her, and she is always super professional and well organized. She is constantly buying new music and staying up-to-date with the latest teaching methodologies and devices. Ive made a great deal of progress studying with her. She plays flute for the Boulder Philharmonic and the Boulder Ballet and is an outstanding musician herself, but even so, her rates are no higher than most other private teachers. I highly recommend her as an instructor.

The instructor was quick to identify areas where my daughter was stuck, and worked to go back to basics to build skill. My daughter felt really happy and successful in realizing she has the skills to figure out how to play.
